Early Years

Born on June 4, 1975, Angelina Jolie (pictured in 1977) had acting in her genes from the start with Jon Voight, an Oscar nominee for 1969's Midnight Cowboy, as a father and stage actress-turned-producer Marcheline Bertrand (who died of ovarian cancer in 2007) as a mom. The couple split a year after Jolie's birth and Bertrand moved the toddler and her older brother James to Palisades, N.Y.
