Animal House

The whole gang regularly gathers in the family room to watch new Housewives episodes, which are delivered the week before they’re broadcast. As fans of the show know, Kona—a lovable but chronically shedding Burmese mountain dog-bull mastiff mix—has proven to be a natural scene-stealer.

Animal-hide accents lend the space some rustic appeal; Rich Amons bought the cowhide pillows and rug on a trip to Buenos Aires. The room is painted Benjamin Moore’s Dove White, as is the entire first floor. “That makes touch-ups easy,” says Mary.

Similar sea grass rug: Coastal sea grass rug (8x10 feet), $179 at Natural Area Rugs. Similar shades: Waterfall woven wood shades, from $253 at The Shade Store. Similar sofa: sofa 3341-03, (price upon request) at Lee Industries. Mirror, side tables, chairs and ottoman, (prices upon request) at Baker.
