Old Friends Matt LeBlanc and Lisa Kudrow are going to reunite on Kudrow's Showtime series, Web Therapy! Series creator Dan Buctinsky tells eonline.com that LeBlanc has signed on for a guest spot in the show's upcoming third season (which premieres Monday, July 22 at 11 p.m.).
"He plays a gambler and she becomes one, too," Buctinsky says. "That's how good of a therapist she is. She helps him with addiction by becoming a gambler, too. It's awesome."
Actually, we already know it's going to be awesome -- just based on the clever, bar-raising comedy that's come out of the other mini-reunions among Friends cast members over the last few years.
Most recently, Courteney Cox played an insanely manipulative widow (who turned out to be just plain insane) on an episode of Matthew Perry's NBC show, Go On. Watch here:
Kudrow returned the favor when she played a mean dermatologist on Cox's show, Cougar Town, in the video below:
David Schwimmer also did four episodes of Web Therapy, playing a patient/stalker who manages to thoroughly freak out Fiona. Watch here:
And in perhaps the funniest Friends mini-reunion, Jennifer Aniston played Jules' kooky therapist, Glenn, on Cougar Town. Video below:
With a winning track record like this, it's hard to imagine LeBlanc not being hilarious on Web Therapy. These actors are just so comfortable with each other that they bring the scenes to life with seemingly little effort.
At least a few of the cast (including LeBlanc) have scoffed at the idea of an all-out Friends reunion. Lucky for us, they don't seem to mind taking guest roles on one another's shows!
