A big step up from convenience-store slushes, this fun treat is made from 100-percent apple cider. It couldn’t be easier to make, requiring only a freezer and a thirsty audience.

Pour cider in a 9x13 glass baking dish. Place in the freezer, on a flat surface, and set the kitchen timer for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, run a fork through the mixture to loosen up pieces that have begun to freeze. Return to freezer for 30 more minutes. After a total of 60 minutes, the mixture should be frozen to a slushy consistency. Mix it up with a fork and serve, or continue to freeze until it’s the correct consistency.
