The easiest way to apply foundation is with a sponge. (It's actually faster to use a sponge than your fingers.) Makeup sponges are available in many shapes: The wedge is by far the most effective because it has corners that can get to those hard-to-reach places, such as under your tear ducts and in the corners of your nose. Good sponges are porous enough to hold some foundation, but not so porous that they don't allow you to apply the color without streaking. To use: Dip the sponge in a very small amount of the liquid makeup and press it against your face, rolling it gently. (Dragging the sponge across your face can cause streaks.) Press a tissue against your face when you're done to even out your application and lift off any excess makeup.
