More stars on The X Factor roster? It sounds like it!
We already know that the line-up of judges for this new season of The X Factor is going to include Simon Cowell, L.A. Reid, Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. But each of those judges will also choose a celebrity mentor to help them craft their teams. It turns out that two heartthrobs may have been picked to join Fox's hit reality competition as celebrity mentors.
First up, there's Justin Bieber. TMZ is reporting that Bieber has agreed to be Reid's celebrity mentor for the upcoming season, and he's wasted no time doing just that. The gossip site claims that yesterday "Justin went to a home in the Hollywood Hills to dish out some quality advice to the contestants."
But Bieber's going to have some competition in the dreamboat department. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that Nick Jonas has been paired with Lovato as her celebrity mentor. The two have been close for a while, as the 20-year-old singer got her big break performing in the 2008 Jonas Brothers movie Camp Rock. She also toured with the group for a while and famously dated Nick's older brother Joe Jonas.
No word yet on who Spears' and Cowell's mentors might be.
If we're discussing rumors then it also seems worth it to mention the potential break-down of contestants for season two of The X Factor. It's not been confirmed, but various sites are reporting that Cowell will coach group performers, Lovato will coach solo singers ages 12 to 16, Spears will coach solo singers ages 17 to 24 and Reid will handle solo singers 25 and up. We'll find out soon enough if that is the case when The X-Factor returns to Fox with its two-night premiere starting September 12.
