Keeping Up with the Kardashians is basically a fairy tale, right? It's about a castle full of beautiful princesses, each looking for her Prince Charming and happily-ever-after. Well, fairy tales aren't real. And the longer the show goes on, the more it seems like a complete work of fiction. At this point, we literally have no idea what to believe about the Kardashians' lives. And it's starting to make us feel a little crazy.
Take the recent reports about Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom reconciling. After months of tension caused by Odom's alleged drug problem, the still-married couple attended a Kanye West concert together on Monday. According to E! Online, the couple has been having "secret meetings" to work through their issues, and still haven't decided whether to stay together.
Keep in mind that neither Khloe nor Lamar has acknowledged problems with their marriage, even though they're separated. And suddenly, they're on a date together in a very public place. What's their endgame here?
It sure looks like Khloe and Lamar are trying to string us along, to keep fans guessing about the future of their relationship. They're the Ross and Rachel of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and as soon as they admit that they're separated, the storyline will be over.
This is what the Kardashians have done to us! Any time we see a story about them, we're wondering whether momager Kris Jenner is behind it, and what she's trying to sell us. For example: ratings for their reality show have plummeted, in part because viewers already know what's going to happen before they watch it. Maybe Khloe and Lamar are saving their divorce decision for the cameras, in order to keep people tuning in.
Or maybe this onslaught of Kardashian news (wedding! divorce! addiction!) is making us lose our minds a little. Is there a Kardashian brand headache medication yet?
