Though relations between young parents Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston have been pretty tense since they called off their engagement in 2009, some sources are buzzing that the couple might be working things out.
"Bristol and Levi are still very close," an insider close to Palin, 19, tells Us Weekly.
In the June issue of Harper's Bazaar, the daughter of former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin said the father to her 18-month-old son Tripp was "a stranger to me." But the source reveals, "Now that Mama Palin is out of the picture and Bristol is on her own in Anchorage, they spend more time together than most people think...Levi even stays overnight," the source blabbed. "I even think they are back together."
But if the rumors of a rekindled romanca are true, Palin isn't giving any details. Instead, she seems focused only on their relationship as parents. "Levi and me are co-parents of Tripp and we are actively working on being good parents together," she tells Radaronline.com.
Johnston echoed the sentiment, saying, "Nothing is more important to me or Bristol than our son Tripp. We are taking active steps to work cooperatively in raising him, and in sharing the joys -- and challenges -- of parenthood."
