Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne have been through hell together, but they're a match made in heaven...right? A recent report claims that the rocker and his talk-show host wife, who have been married for 31 years, are leading separate lives. According to the UK Sun, Sharon and Ozzy live two miles apart, are "not spending any time together," and "they row a lot." Both have also been spotted in public without their wedding rings. Could this be the end for the Prince of Darkness and his bride?
Not so, says a spokesman for Sharon.
"They've both got huge work commitments. She is at the hotel for work and he is starting his Black Sabbath tour," the rep tells the Sun. "Of course they row but they are still together. Sharon and Ozzy have spent long periods of time apart before when she was working in the U.K. The marriage is not on the rocks."
Phew! Son Jack Osbourne has also denied the reports, tweeting, "...it's all bulls**t. Last time I check a lot of British news papers weren't amazing sources of accurate information. Moving on..."
We hope Sharon and Ozzy are able to weather this storm, just as they've weathered cancer, addiction, and all kinds of other crises together. Here, three reasons why we think their love is worth fighting for.
1. They've grown up together. Throughout their relationship, Sharon blossomed from overweight teenager to powerful music manager to TV personality, while Ozzy forged a solo career and left his hard-partying days behind. That's a lot of changes in 30 years, and it's inspiring that their love stayed the same.
2. Their marriage survived reality TV. Few relationships can survive the strain of cameras invading their every private moment. For every Bachelor or Real Housewives couple that split, only a handful of reality TV marriages stayed strong -- and that included Sharon and Ozzy, who did The Osbournes for a full four seasons.
3. America needs the Osbourne family! Who else has ever been so willing to tell it like it is, or so honest about their own problems? Jack and Kelly Osbourne have carried on their parents' example, living in the spotlight gracefully while being upfront about the challenges. Now that Jack is battling MS, it's more important than ever that the family pull together and stay strong.
