Are Tori & Candy Spelling Reconciling?

Things might be a little more peaceful between the Spelling women next year. Believe it or not, Tori and her mom Candy are supposedly reconciling in time for the holidays.

A source tells E! Online's Mark Malkin that the famously acrimonious mother and daughter may have set aside their differences once and for all after both landed in the hospital via separate health issues.

Their relationship has reportedly been on the mend since late September, when Tori was hospitalized for a "stomach condition" and Candy underwent back surgery.

A Spelling peace treaty would spell a first-ever meeting for Candy and her 18-month-old granddaughter, Stella. It would also mean a reunion with her 2-year-old grandson, Liam, whom she apparently hasn't seen since Stella was born.

Candy's relationship with her son-in-law, Dean McDermott, has been more than a little strained as well. After Candy publicly accused Tori and Dean of using their children as moneymaking props on their show, Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood, Dean didn't shy away from responding publicly.

"We don’t use our children as props, we take really good care of our children, we love our children," Dean said, according to Fancast. He added: "Everyone’s entitled to their opinion.”

Back in April, Candy had offered an olive branch via an open letter on her Web site, but didn't take up Tori's invite to her daughter's first birthday party in July for fear of becoming a storyline on the Tori & Dean show.

A peace agreement would be a good thing: After all, a little family harmony is the gift that keeps on giving.
