Aretha Franklin Felt Dissed By Beyonce

Etaretha

What's so interesting about this story is that, while I was watching the Grammys and Beyonce was introducing her duet partner, I completely expected to see Aretha Franklin, because B used the term "The Queen" to describe her co-performer. Then Tina Turner walked out -- which is cool, Tina can still move -- but isn't Aretha music's "Queen"?

Um, yeah. Which is why Ms. F was a tad perturbed by how they whole thing went down.

"I am not sure of whose toes I may have stepped on or whose ego I may have bruised between the Grammy writers and Beyonce," Aretha said in a statement. "However I dismissed it as a cheap shot for controversy. In addition to that, I thank the Grammys and the voting academy for my 20th Grammy and love to Beyone anyway."

That's right, Aretha! Stand up for your title! You the queen!

Beyonce's probably crying to Aretha right now, "They made me say it!"

Is this a little confusing?
