Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger were back together this weekend, as the estranged couple celebrated the former California governor's 64th birthday as a family.
According to a source, the couple and two of their four children, Patrick and Christopher (who was just released from the hospital last week), dined at Casa Roma in Beverly Hills on Saturday and then spent the afternoon shopping at Barneys.
The reunion is quite surprising, considering Shriver recently filed for divorce after 25 years of marriage to the actor-turned-politician. But maybe she's feeling grateful since her hubby reconsidered his petition to keep spousal support from her.
A witness to the amicable lunch told UsMagazine.com that, not only did the gathering seem "relaxed," but Schwarzenegger "smiled a lot," and all seemed to be "pretty normal" for the family.
And get this -- Shriver even picked up the check for lunch!
"Maria grabbed for it," the onlooker said. "She was already pulling out her wallet and gave her credit card (to the waiter). While she gave him the card, she also ordered Arnold an espresso."
