Ashton Kutcher's marriage to Demi Moore is over, but he's still like family to her daughter Rumer Willis. Kutcher, 34, showed up to support Willis, 23, as she performed at a Hollywood club on Tuesday night.
Rumer, an actress who has recently added singing to her repertoire, performed four soul numbers at the Sayers Club Sessions while her former stepdad looked on. Onlookers tell People that he took some photos with his phone when Rumer got onstage, clapped and whistled during her set, and even sang along. After the show, they reportedly shared a "long, emotional embrace."
"It seemed really happy and loving -- and like the two would be friendly... no matter what," says an eyewitness.
Neither Demi Moore, 49, nor Rumer's father Bruce Willis came to the concert. Demi is reportedly back in L.A. following rehab and a vacation in the Bahamas, but maybe she's not ready to face the nightlife yet.
Despite Kutcher's reported new romance with screenwriter Lorene Scarfaria, Ashton hasn't been a total stranger to Demi and her family during their recent crisis. In fact, a recent report claimed that Kutcher even visited Moore while she was recovering from her emergency hospitalization in January.
"He knew it was important to her daughters," a source said of Kutcher's visit to Moore, adding that the two of them are "not getting back together."
Another source tells E! that Demi would possibly consider reconciling with Ashton, but that it's better for everyone if they stay apart.
"She may want it but she'll never say that, thank God, because she shouldn't and none of us want her to (get back together with Ashton)," the friend insists. "He is not a nice man... he doesn't want to get back together, I think that's very, very clear."
At least he and Rumer seem to be on good terms!
