Ashton Kutcher Reveals His Happy Marriage Secret

Demi Moore's husband says it's important not to get lazy in love and explains why sex is "inherently funny"

More than five years ago, Ashton Kutcher managed to capture the heart of Demi Moore, a woman 15 years his senior who’d been married twice before. And despite cheating rumors in Sept. 2010, Kutcher and Moore’s marriage still appears to be blissfully intact.

The 32-year-old actor tells E! News that he finds sex "inherently funny" when it’s a good time with the right person, and he believes the key to a successful relationship is avoiding the common pitfall of getting too comfortable with your significant other.

In his upcoming film No Strings Attached, Kutcher stars alongside Natalie Portman in a sexual comedy of consequence-free "hooking up" with no intent of finding deeper relationship. In the film, Kutcher and Portman’s characters think they’re content with this flighty "friends with benefits" setup. In real life, however, Kutcher was eager to settle down, marrying Moore in 2005 at age 28. (Portman also appears ready to settle down, recently announcing her surprise pregnancy and engagement to her Black Swan costar Benjamin Millepied.)

Kutcher says he constantly reminds himself to work on his marriage. "No matter how amazing (the) relationship is, keep working on it," he says. "Keep working on it and keep finding another level. Things can always get better, even when it’s going great...We all get comfortable, and when we get comfortable, we get lazy, and we forget to do little things."

From the looks of the cuddly photos posted on the couple’s Twitter accounts, it seems Kutcher is remembering to do those little things for Moore. After all, five years of marriage in Hollywood is like a lifetime, and the actor seems well aware that every relationship is a work in progress.
