Think you have what it takes to make it as the next American Idol? Well, even if you just don't have the time to pack up your life and travel to wherever the closest audition city is, you've still got a shot at being the next big star of the show's tenth season.
In a press release Wednesday, Idol announced that submission videos can now be uploaded to MySpace, giving a whole crop of singers a chance to be heard. Audition pieces may be submitted through Oct. 6, and the entries must be sung a capella and chosen from an approved list of songs. And, just like the in-person auditions, a bunch of impressive contestants will then advance to the callbacks round in L.A.
This is just the latest change in the Idol format. With former judges Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi gone -- and rumored new faces Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler in -- American Idol may just be a whole new show!
