|2 slices whole grain or whole wheat bread||1/2 medium Haas avocado, peeled, seeded, and sliced lengthwise|
|1/2 medium hothouse or beefsteak tomato, sliced||Kosher salt to taste|
|4 slices cheddar cheese|
Place 2 slices of bread on a work surface.
Evenly divide the cheese, tomato, and avocado and layer on top of each slice. Sprinkle with salt, to taste. Cover with the remaining pieces of bread and slice the sandwiches in half, if desired.
