What started out as a fun-filled night out, took a turn for the dangerous for Avril Lavigne and boyfriend Brody Jenner.
The couple was in high spirits as they partied in Hollywood on Saturday night. In fact, Jenner even went so far as to tweet that he was "having the best night with the love of my life @AvrilLavigne so happy right now!!" But, soon after, a bar fight kicked off and their fun came to a screeching halt.
Lavigne and Jenner were allegedly injured when five people jumped them outside the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel in the early hours of Sunday. The Los Angeles Police Department did not confirm that there was a fight to People, but judging by the 27-year-old pop singer's tweets, it was pretty serious.
"I don't fight. I don't believe in it. To clear things up I got attacked by 5 people last night out of nowhere. Not cool. My face is f---ed," Lavigne twittered. "As in black eye, bloody nose, hair ripped out, scratches, bruises and cuts. So not ok to be abusive to others. Violence is NEVER the answer."
And her 28-year-old reality-TV star boyfriend twittered something similar. "Interesting Saturday night... Just got of the hospital with a new scar on my face.. Charges/chargers!!!" he said.
Fortunately Lavigne's lead guitarist Evan Taubenfeld came over to Lavigne's place with a Hello Kitty ice pack to help her feel better. "I'm so lucky to have a friend like you," she tweeted at him.
It's still unclear who the assailants were or whether the LAPD have any leads.
