It wouldn’t be a rocker wedding without the bride dressed in black!
Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger tied the knot in front of 50 guests outside of the Château de la Napoule, a 14th century castle, in the South of France on Monday, E! News reports.
The bride stunned as she walked down the aisle in an untraditional, yet fitting, Monique Lhuillier black tulle gown with a bouquet of black roses. The ceremony was followed by a reception which included a buffet of lobster, sea bass and beef. Fireworks went off at midnight, as the DJ played until 6 a.m.
"It was certainly a rock 'n' roll wedding," a source told E!. "They've been partying for the past four days straight with a final wedding party brunch today before they go off on their honeymoon."
The Canadian couple’s wedding date isn’t just on the anniversary of when they first starting dating, but it was also Canada Day.
"We think it's very cool that our anniversary will always be on Canada Day," Kroeger told People. "We can't wait to start our life together. We're very happy."
