At this point, most providers would recommend that a version be done under ultrasound and after relaxation of the uterus with terbutaline.
If the baby has not yet engaged, we would continue to recommend any position where a woman's buttocks are elevated -- sleeping with a pillow under the buttocks, kneeling on all fours, or lying on an ironing board (securely) propped on a couch.
Some midwives have used positive imagery or a soothing musical stimulus directed toward the lower abdomen.
