Your Baby's 23rd Week of Life

What's Happening with Your Baby

Your baby reaps many benefits from time in your arms. This happens naturally when nursing. But don't be tempted to skip your traditional cuddle time during feedings if she is bottle-fed -- even though she can now hold the bottle all by herself. Your little one is also able to eat from a spoon and can reach for and grab an object of her choice.

Taking Care of Yourself

Sometimes it seems impossible to find the time for personal appointments as a new parent. But it's important for your physical health to maintain regular checkups and for your sense of well-being to have regularly scheduled haircuts (and maybe even a facial or a massage). It might become easier for you to begin arranging your appointments at times when someone else can watch your little one, as she becomes more active.
