What's Happening with Your Baby
Say something to your baby and he'll turn toward you in response. He can also distinguish emotions from the tone of voices. For example, if someone yells in anger, he might respond by crying. If you speak lovingly to him, he may very well reward you with a big smile.
Taking Care of Yourself
Get into the habit of regularly checking your skin for irregularities. Researchers at Yale University and Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City recently found that people who perform regular skin exams may reduce their risk of dying from melanoma, the deadliest of skin cancers, by as much as 63 percent. Be especially wary of moles that itch or bleed, are not perfectly round, or are several different colors. Immediately report any concerns to your health care provider.
