What's Happening with Your Baby

You may have read that the average baby of this age sleeps between 11 and 13 hours a night and takes two or three naps a day. Remember that there is no such thing as an average baby, so it is very likely that your little one falls outside these parameters. If your baby is already sleeping through the night, consider yourself lucky. Your baby is also becoming increasingly verbal -- babbling enthusiastically when he's excited.

Taking Care of Yourself

Drink a glass of milk! According to a recent study of more than 10,000 men and women at Oregon Health Sciences University, as calcium intake goes up, weight goes down. Milk is an ideal low-fat source of calcium. An eight-ounce glass of skim milk has 80 calories and zero fat grams. Milk also contains potassium and magnesium, which enhance muscle function. Milk really does do a body good.
