Once your baby can sit on her own, sit on the floor facing her and roll a ball to her. At first, she'll probably just slap at it but eventually she'll bat it in your direction. Watch her delight when she accomplishes this.
A stroller is not a place for your baby to be without your constant supervision, even when she's asleep. It is possible for her to slip into a leg opening, become entrapped and suffocate.
Fact of the Week
At least 11 deaths are associated with babies sliding down into stroller leg openings, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). The CPSC is working with a voluntary Standards association to revise the existing standard for strollers, addressing the effectiveness and safety of stroller restraining systems.
