Your Baby's Sixth Week of Life

Fun Activity

Play airplane with your baby by lying on your back and pulling your knees to your chest so your shins are level with the ground. Place your baby on his tummy and hold securely on top of your shins. He'll enjoy his bird's eye view.

Safety Alert

Carbon monoxide is often called the silent killer because it is a colorless, odorless and toxic gas that can sneak up on your family without your knowledge. It is produced by the incomplete combustion of solid, liquid and gaseous fuels. Any appliances fueled with gas, oil, kerosene or wood can produce carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide poisoning is especially dangerous to infants. Protect your family by having a qualified service technician check your home appliances annually, following manufacturer's directions for safe operation of appliances and installing a carbon monoxide detector in your home.
