The Bachelor
If rejection isn't painful enough in real life, why not experience the trials and tribulations of love through a video game? Brace yourselves, reality-TV junkies, because you'll soon be able to take your devotion to ABC's The Bachelor on an incredible new journey, when a Wii and Nintendo DS video game (based on the popular series) goes on sale. Check out a sneak peek here.
In June, according to AOL TV, gamers will get the chance to play bachelors Jason Mesnick or Andy Baldwin, or The Bachelorette contestants Trista Sutter or Jillian Harris, all of whom recorded their voices for the game. Host Chris Harrison is also heard on the game, which will play out not unlike the show.
The game can be enjoyed in single-player mode (hey, it is for singles, after all!) or multi-player, and will take you through several "episodes" in which you compete with other characters for a Bachelor/ette's affection. Sound familiar yet? Obviously, the crucial rose ceremony is a highlight feature of the game.
Of course, you won't have to wait until June to get your fix of awkward, on-camera dating hijinks, as The Bachelorette -- featuring Ali Fedotowsky -- begins her quest for love on May 24 when the new season premieres. Hey don't hate the player, hate the game!
