Unfortunately, a happy ending may not be in the cards for Bob Guiney, after all. According to People.com, the "nice guy" who was first rejected by Bachelorette Trista Sutter before becoming ABC's Season 4 Bachelor, has split with his wife, All My Children actress Rebecca Budig.
“We love each other very much," the couple said in a statement. "We are best friends and don’t know what the future holds.”
But pals of the twosome speculate that it's over for the couple, who have been married for five years.
"Lately, it’s become clear that nothing is going to save this,” a friend of Budig says. “They’ve just grown apart and are no longer the people they were when they got married.”
Meanwhile, another source says there is still hope. “They talk on the phone everyday and they truly are best friends. They don’t know what is going to happen. They haven’t filed for divorce.” Adds the source, “They’re not even fighting.”
Still, Budig was seen at Wednesday’s Television Critics Association event in Pasadena sans wedding ring.
“I was late and ran out the door and just forgot to put it on,” she told a reporter.
