The Bachelor has another success story in its pocket, as Jason Mesnick and Molly Malaney married on Saturday afternoon at the Terranea Resort in Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif.
Wearing a strapless Monique Lhuillier gown and Neil Lane jewels, Malaney walked down the aisle while American Idol's Jason Castro sang "Somewhere Over the Rainbow." The couple exchanged vows on a lawn overlooking the ocean, under an altar made of tree branches, white lillies and orchids.
One hitch: Rain poured down on Mesnick and Malaney as they said their "I dos." But the bride and groom simply laughed off the shower and became man and wife in front the 250 guests, including Bachelorette alums Trista and Ryan Sutter, as well as The Bachelor's Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski, and Charlie O'Connell.
There was a time when Malaney never thought this day would come, since she was originally given the boot by Mesnick at the final rose ceremony of The Bachelor's 13th season. But after initially choosing Melissa Rycroft, Jason changed his mind and admitted he was still in love with Malaney on national TV. The couple reunited and got engaged last October. Fans of ABC's hit series will be unsurprised to learn that Rycroft didn't attend Saturday's nuptials.
Mesnick and Malaney's wedding will air in a two-hour ABC special on March 8.
