The Bachelor Goes to Hawaii
The girls' hometown dates are over, and now it's time for Andy to take them to his hometown -- Hawaii. Rough life, right? His first stop with each of the girls? The Pearl Harbor Memorial. He takes Bevin, Tessa and Danielle to the memorial in the hopes of showing them what type of lives they would lead as Navy wives. I have two thoughts right off the bat: 1. We made it to the first commercial break without Bevin crying -- I think that's a record! 2. Andy looks sexy in his white uniform. Tessa the Tomboy In the beginning of Tessa and Andy's overnight date, they do some hardcore activities, like zipling over ravines. Tessa tells the camera she knows she needs to step up her game and really open up this time. Gee, Tess, ya think? To her credit, though, she is much more affectionate with him during him the day. But the big question is, will she accept Andy's fantasy suite card? Keep reading to find out!
Over dinner, Tessa tells Andy how much she loves how she always brings out the best side of her. When Andy pulls the fantasy card on Tessa, she tells him there is nothing she'd love more in the world than to spend more alone time with him. Inside the suite, Tessa ironically tells Andy she's glad he was so patient with her -- but unlike most girls when it comes to staying together, she's talking about him being patient with her heart.
Danielle Goes out to Sea
Cue the Titanic music... Andy and Danielle stand on the bow of a boat and watch the dolphins and whales at sea before jumping in themselves. Back on the boat, Danielle asks Andy if he plans on staying in Hawaii after his tour of duty is over. He says this experience will have a lot to do with it. Danielle, of course, brings up her ex-boyfriend -- again! I know, he died, we all know, it's horrible, but if I were Andy, I'd be really ready to talk about something else.
The evening brings yet another dinner outside, which is gorgeous. Andy brings in a pyschic in honor of Danielle telling him about her psychic story earlier. Apparently years ago a psychic told her that her third serious relationship would be the one to last. This psychic tells her she needs to let go of her sadness in order to be happy. She then told Andy to basically stop thinking and trust his heart in order to make the right decision.
Danielle takes Andy up on the fantasy suite, too. I'm so so so happy there's no Sadie "oooh but I'm a virgin, blah blah blah" in this season.
Bevin's Tropical Paradise
Andy goes into his overnight with Bevin trying to find out if he shares more with her than just an intense physical attraction. So he takes her kayaking and on an adventure hike, natch. Then they head to a secluded spot with a waterfall and jump in. Bevin still hasn't cried! Crazy!
For dinner Andy (and by Andy, I mean the producers of The Bachelor) set up a romantic luau for two. Watching Andy and Bevin try to hula together was painful, to say the least but it's obvious that Andy thinks Bevin is hot no matter what. But of course, Andy has to bring up Bevin's divorce again. For as much as she annoys me, I have to say she's pretty good at putting Andy's fears about her past relationship past them.
Then Bevin does something insanely smart -- she accepts the invitation to the fantasy suite but says she's accepting in the hopes that they can continue their conversation. She says they both know the passion is there, but she, too, wants to find out if there's more. Yeah, whatever, those two are so hooking up.
Andy's Big Decision
"I need help," Andy declares. His best friend flies in to help narrow the three girls down to two. He asks Andy a couple questions including which woman he thinks has the strongest feelings for him. Bevin, says Andy, without much hesitation.
The Rose Ceremony
Before the ceremony, I totally thought Danielle was going home. Andy can't deny his physical chemistry with Bevin, and he loves the chase of Tessa. Sure enough, Bevin gets the first rose, and Tess the next. Danielle, though, is the epitome of class. She's clearly crushed, but she holds it together. So much for psychics, huh? "You deserve to be happy," she tells him. "You're such an amazing guy."
Okay, so it's down to Tessa and Bevin. Which team are you on? Weigh in below.
