'Bachelor' Winner Mary Delgado Arrested (Again)

Since winning the final rose in 2004, Delgado has had numerous alcohol-related run-ins with the law

When Mary Delgado received the final rose on The Bachelor in 2004, she seemed headed for happily ever after -- but instead of posing for wedding photos with Byron Velvick, she's posed for a string of mug shots.

Delgado, 42, was arrested on Thursday in Tampa, Fla., for driving under the influence. It's her third arrest for bad behavior in the past three years. In 2007, the cheerleader-turned-real-estate-agent was jailed for hitting Velvick in the face during a fight, splitting his lip with her engagement ring. The following year, she was cuffed in a Texas bar for public drunkenness and rowdy behavior. This is Delgado's first run-in with the law since her bitter breakup with professional fisherman Velvick in 2009.

The Bachelor winner has denied that her previous arrest was alcohol-related, though the arresting officer seemed to disagree. And both her first and second arrests took place around Delgado's birthday -- which she celebrated, both times, at a bar. We don't know if she has a drinking problem, but healthy celebrations rarely end with a call to the police.

If she does have a drinking problem, was it exacerbated by her appearance on a reality dating show -- an environment that provides free alcohol and plenty of down time for contestants between dates and challenges? We'd hate to think so -- but whatever the root of the problem, we hope she gets help before she ends up behind bars again (or worse).
