In the first snippet, Emily, 26, hangs out with Chris, a 25-year-old corporate sales director from Chicago. Chris isn't just good-looking, he also comes bearing gifts! He presents Emily with two Bobbleheads -- one that looks like Emily and one that looks like him.
"They've been through a lot together already," Chris sweetly tells Emily, who was definitely taken with the gesture.
"Chris is super hot and so thoughtful. I like him a lot," she tells the cameras.
In her second encounter with a suitor, Emily has one-on-one time with Arie, who is chivalrous and kind but has a legitimate concern about whether the Bachelorette will be able to open her heart to him.
"Emily looks amazing, and I think there could be a connection there. But I really think there's some important things we need to talk about," he explains.
So what's his big issue? A racecar driver from Arizona, Arie, 30, is reluctant to tell Maynard what he does for a living because her late fiance Ricky Hendrick, who died in a plane crash on his way to a race in 2004, drove for NASCAR. Shortly after his death, then 18-year-old Emily discovered she was pregnant and had their daughter, Ricki.
"I know that obviously still weighs heavily on her heart, so I don't know how she'll take me being a racecar driver," he says before revealing his news to her. He asks Emily directly "Are you okay with that?" but to see the answer, we'll have to tune in Monday on ABC, when the new season of The Bachelorette premieres.
