Lately lots of celebs are popping out kids in quick succession, with just a year or two age difference. We're wondering if other moms are keen on having back-to-back babies, too?
Parks and Recreation star Amy Poehler and husband, funnyman Will Arnett, are parents to 16 month-old Archie and are already expecting their second child. (The star turns 39 in September, and perhaps the fact that fertility can wane after the age of 35 played a part.)
Another star to have babies in close succession is Olympic gold medalist Kerri Walsh, 31, who gave birth to her second child last month--less than a year after her first. And 38-year-old Dancing with the Stars co-host Brooke Burke followed up daughter Heaven Rain with a boy, Shaya Braven, less than 14 months later.
Younger stars like Britney Spears and Nicole Richie may just be eager to grow their families. Britney, 28, had Jayden James just two days before his big brother Sean Preston's first birthday. Nicole, also 28, popped out son Sparrow just 20 months after daughter Harlow. Many couples feel that siblings who are close in age will grow up with a tight bond. Another possibility of back-to-back babies, of course, is that the second child is what some call a “happy accident”--unplanned, but certainly not unwelcome!
