“This recipe of hers is always a huge hit at any gathering. We served it after our son's bar mitzvah and we got so many requests for the recipe that we had to print it in the synagogue bulletin. I think if you use this much butter on anything, it will taste good!”

    Ingredients

    2 large eggs 2 tablespoons flour
    1 (20-ounce) can crushed pineapple (don't drain) 3 slices bread
    1/2 cup sugar 1/4 pound butter

      Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Beat eggs and mix into pineapple. Combine sugar and flour and stir into pineapple-egg mixture.

      Toast bread and cut into small cubes. Melt butter in frying pan. Add toast cubes and stir until crispy.

      In a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole, place pineapple mixture and top with toast cubes. Bake for 45 minutes.
