The presidential dog has arrived, people, and he is a cutie!

Meet the newest member of the first family, Bo Obama. A 6-month-old Portuguese Water Dog has taken its place as the newest love of President Obama's daughter's lives. Malia, 10, and Sasha, 7, reportedly chose their new pup's name because their cousins have a cat named Bo and because Mrs. Obama's father was nicknamed Diddley, as in Bo Diddley. The dog was a gift from Sen. Ted Kennedy, who owns three dogs of the same breed.

Portuguese Water Dogs are said to be high-spirited animals and are good for people with allergies, which Malia has.

Congrats to the family on their new addition. Like the rest of the fam, he is a looker.
