Basal Body Temperature Spiked Twice This Month: Can I Be Ovulating?
Can I be ovulating if my basal body temperature this month spiked (went up and down) twice?
Question:One of the very frustrating parts about BBTs is their sensitivity to non-basal events. Your BBT can be affected if you did not get enough sleep, if you had alcohol, got up to go to the bathroom or slept with someone who was a bit warmer that night -- plus other variations.
Rarely, the BBT will pick up a double ovulation, or it could mean you did not ovulate. Interpretation of spikes is very difficult. I would scratch this month and start again after the next menses.
Good luck.
