Beetlejuice (1988, PG)

Age Group: 9 to 17
Spook Factor: A classic Tim Burton movie filled with freaky folks who are more comforting than spooky, the supernatural comedy features a timid couple of recently deceased ghosts (Geena Davis and Alec Baldwin) who call on wacky bio-exorcist Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton) to get rid of the awful humans who have moved into their beloved old house. There are some strange dead folks here -- one corpse blows smoke through a slit in her neck, another has a shrunken head -- but it's really the people who are creepy in this clever, entertaining twist on the haunted house horror movie.
