Twilight fans can already get Bella Swan's engagement ring thanks to an official $2,000 replica of her sparkler, and now they can have her wedding gown too! An official replica of the Carolina Herrera-designed gown that Kristen Stewart wore in The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 is now being sold in bridal stores nationwide.
The Alfred Angelo dress retails for $799 and boasts “a dramatic plunging cut-out illusion back detailed with a soft Chantilly-inspired lace appliqué trim and full-length lace trimmed sleeves, self-fabric-covered buttons and a Chapel train," according to a press release.
Michael Shettel designed the frock for Alfred Angelo and joked to The Wall Street Journal about signing a confidentiality agreement with Twilight film studio Summit Entertainment "in blood" that he would have the reproduction ready by Breaking Dawn's Nov. 18 release. Appropriately, the dress -- available in white or ivory and in sizes 0 to 30W -- is called "Twilight Bridal."
When MTV News caught up with Herrera at the Breaking Dawn premiere, she said that she spent a lot of time with author Stephenie Meyer trying to figure out how to make the perfect wedding dress for Bella.
"I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding," Herrera said. "I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it's a big scene for me."
And now brides-to-be all over the world can recreate that scene on their big day -- minus the vampire groom, we hope.
