Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner are just the latest celebrities who've been through the traumatizing ordeal of being stalked. The couple's nightmare was made even more troublesome when the accused stalker, Steven Burky, allegedly began following their children (Violet, 4, and Seraphina, 1).
According to the Associated Press, Burky, 37, "pleaded no contest Tuesday to two counts of stalking the celebrity couple and their children." He was arrested in December 2009, waiting outside of the children's school -- violating the restraining order placed on him in 2008 by Garner and Affleck.
BBC News reports that Garner had previously claimed that Burky was following her since 2002 and he showed "obsessive, threatening and stalking behavior."
The Los Angeles judge who presided over the case ruled that Burky is insane and must be placed in a state mental hospital. His sentence also includes that if he is released, he much stay away from Affleck, Garner, and their children for 10 years.
