If You… Miss Group Workout Classes
Try: Fit By Tracey Fit and Strong Pre and Post Natal Workout
What to Expect: The post-natal segment of this DVD includes a warm up, then four strength-training circuits (choose one or more), followed by a 6-minute cool-down stretch. New mom and fitness expert Tracey Staehle demonstrates the moves, while another trainer assists and instructs and a third stands by offering up info like why you want to target certain muscles as a new mom. The exercises are challenging, but Tracey and friends offer modifications and reminders to go slow.
What You’ll Need: Light dumb bells, resistance band, fitness ball and mat.
Why You’ll Love It: There’s no music in the background, but that plays to its advantage: The banter between the trainers make you feel like you’re working out with these women in a supportive environment.
Watch Out For: The instruction is sound, but the audio isn’t great. The trainer offering insight from the sidelines isn’t wearing a microphone so it’s hard to hear her.
Best For: Beginner and beyond.
