chime in nowSweet and sassy Minnie Mouse makes the perfect theme for a Disney-crazed girl. Created by the Hunted Interior, this party uses pretty polka dots and bows in bold red, black and white to make a mouse-tastic bash.
The Décor: Make a splash with big displays of paper pinwheels made from long sheets of polka-dot wrapping paper. Group several and glue them to poster board as a backdrop to the food and gift tables.
The Food: Have fun with the menu and serve "hot diggity dogs" (hot dogs wrapped in parchment paper secured with polka dot washi tape), "oh toodle's noodles” (pasta salad), and banana puddin' cups (served in individual cups dressed up with fabric polka dot bows. Top cupcakes with vanilla buttercream frosting and add mini Oreo mouse ears and a bow made from strips of red Fruit by the Foot. The cake flavor? Red velvet, of course.
The Attire: Everyone must wear ears! Make mouse-ear party hats by painting paper party hats black and hot gluing on circles cut from black glitter paper on the sides and classic polka dot bows on the front. (Do the same with red-and-white lollipops!) Or, check out this tutorial for Minnie Mouse headbands. For the birthday girl, we love this ruffled Minnie Mouse-inspired romper from All About the Glam.
