"Mother's Day is a time to spoil your mother, and I have the perfect recipe for that. In fact, it comes with a bona fide endorsement from my own mother, who turned to me over brunch a few weeks ago, after tasting one of these lemony rolls, and said, wide-eyed, 'This is the best thing I have ever put in my mouth.'
"These rolls take their cue from cinnamon rolls, of course, and they nod to the classic Southern orange roll. But they are a fresh twist, with heaps of lemon zest and lemon juice freshening up a sweet, warm, yeasty roll into something vibrant and tangy. They are sunny, sweet and not too difficult. You can make them up the night before, and then bake them off in an hour before brunch. Easy and delicious, especially with a gooey cream cheese topping that is also bright with lemon. I hope they please your mom as much as they did mine."
