Best Supporting Actor: Tommy Lee Jones for 'Lincoln'

This category has been all over the map during awards season, with Christoph Waltz (Django Unchained) getting the Golden Globe, Philip Seymour Hoffman (The Master) the Critics' Choice Award, and Jones (Lincoln) the SAG Award. As we approach the final round, Jones is the frontrunner; he hasn't received an Oscar since 1994, and his performance as uncompromising Congressman Thaddeus Stevens is a showstopper. If he loses, it will be to Robert De Niro, whose Silver Linings Playbook, performance deserves to be celebrated.
