Best Wine for Dessert

Sometimes dessert wines can be a bit cloying, but Osborn recommends Pacific Rim Vin de Glacière Riesling 2011 ($14.99), a lighter bodied sweet wine, with great acidity. “Not too heavy or alcoholic, it’s best served chilled in a small wine glass or even a Port glass. Though sweet wines are typically not quaffable, the lower alcohol and refreshing quality of this wine means a full glass will go over well. Plus, the acidity and sweet fruit flavors are a perfect match to all sorts of pies, especially pumpkin.”
