Best Wine for Ham

Whether you have spicy or sweet ham, Osborn says the Conundrum White 2011 ($19.99) will pair well with both, offering lots of ripe fruit and a rich texture. “Grape varieties include Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon, Muscat and Viognier, the percentages of which are a mystery -- hence the name Conundrum. However, this mix leads to a wine with big aromatics, lush texture, good acidity and the smoothness of a great white blend. All of these characteristics lend themselves well to a touch of spice or sweet, so a great match with ham.”
