After years of being a single lady, Bethenny Frankel is finally a Real Housewife. But when the reality star walked down the aisle with Jason Hoppy earlier this year, it was actually her second wedding!
The new mom recently revealed to Life & Style that she was married to her best friend Peter Sussman in 1996, for about eight months. "We were best friends for five years, and he always wanted to be more," says the Real Housewives of New York City star.
The pair began dating and got hitched two years later. Soon after they said their "I dos," Frankel realized there was no passion between her and her new husband. "I felt like, 'This is really it? This is the person I'm going to spend the rest of my life with?'" she says. "You can't go to bed with a piece of 8-by-10 paper."
Looking back, Frankel sees the mistakes she made. "I loved him because of how much he loved me," she tells the mag. "I got married too young. I didn't wait for the great love of my life."
