Can we nominate Betty White to be America's grandma? We love her even more after hearing this story: when White's You Again costar Kristen Bell was seeking relationship advice, she turned to the older actress -- who didn't disappoint!
"When you hear him coming home, just go change your blouse or put on a little perfume," Bell says White told her, about keeping romance alive with her fiance -- comedian and Parenthood star Dax Shephard. White also told the 30-year-old actress to "constantly celebrate your partner like you did in month two." How sweet -- and wise!
Betty White, 88, knows romance: she was happily married to game-show host Allen Ludden from 1963 until his death from cancer in 1981. And Bell says she soaked up all the advice she could get from White on set: "I'm playing the role of sponge."
Who can blame her? The Hot in Cleveland star is the ultimate role model for a young woman: She's had a long and successful career, she's sweet-as-pie yet tough-as-nails, and she's at the top of her game while approaching 90! Sandra Bullock also admitted to soliciting White's advice (specifically, about being a stepmother) on the set of The Proposal. White once advised Lindsay Lohan (via Ok! Magazine) to "Shape up!"
