You can bet Beyonce is singing in the shower this morning! The Grammy nominations were announced last night at a special live concert televised on CBS, and Mrs. Jay-Z leads the pack with 10 nominations, including nods for Album of the Year for I am…Sasha Fierce, Record of the Year for "Halo" and Song of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".
Teen sensation Taylor Swift continues her streak of good fortune, following just behind B with eight noms, which included Album of the Year for her hit-producing Fearless. Also in the running for the big album award are the Black Eyed Peas with The E.N.D., Dave Matthew's Band's Big Whiskey and the GooGrux King, and Lady Gaga's The Fame.
Other tunes up for Song of the Year are "Poker Face" by Lady Gaga, "Pretty Wings" by Maxwell, "Use Somebody" by Kings of Leon, and "You Belong With Me" by Taylor Swift.
Britney Spears and lip-lock buddy Madonna will face-off in the Best Dance Recording category, as Madge got recognition for "Celebration," while Brit's "Womanizer" got her a nod.
The 51st Grammy Awards are set to air on CBS on January 31, 2010.
