When it comes to bizarre pregnancy cravings, it seems that Beyonce has the old pickles and ice cream combo beat. Way beat. Apparently, the singer has been eating ice cream with hot sauce, Oreos with gherkins, and dipping bananas in ketchup. Um... yum?
In comparison, Jennifer Garner's cravings are positively tame -- the actress is reportedly nourishing baby number three with cookies and cheese puffs (and lots of other much-healthier stuff, too, we assume).
I can't say I craved any weird combos when I was pregnant with either of my kids -- but I can definitely relate to Jennifer's sweet tooth. Sure, there was a short-lived period when I craved hummus-and-veggie sandwiches while carrying baby number two, but I also craved Swedish Fish (red ones only, thank you very much) and muffins. Lots of muffins.
Here's what other expecting iVillage mamas are craving:
"Ketchup. I kid you not, I have become a ketchup fiend!" -- mazda_mom
"I want sweet things all the time -- cake, ice cream, chocolate, M&Ms, anything and everything sweet. I also love Tostitos with melted cheese and salsa and hamburgers with BBQ sauce and pickles. So not healthy!" -- shayna_29
"Lately the thought of eating chalk has been popping into my head -- I know there's a name for this and it's a sign of some sort of mineral deficiency, but at this point in my pregnancy I'm too tired and close to the end to do anything about it!" -- praying4babyno4
"It seems like I've run the gambit of Mexican cravings... last night my dear husband ate the rest of the tortilla chips that were in the cupboard and I thought there was going to be a throwdown!" -- froggymama2009
