On Jan. 7, Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed their first child -- a 7-lbs. baby girl named Blue Ivy Carter in New York City via a natural birth. "Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful -- we are in heaven," the couple said in a statement. "It was the best experience of both of our lives." The following day, the Twitterverse became inundated with well wishes for the couple, including a loving tweet from Beyonce's sister Solange, who called her new niece "The most beautiful girl in the world." Fans have been anxiously awaiting the birth of the baby since a beaming Beyonce announced that she was pregnant while walking the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards on Aug. 28 in L.A. (pictured). "I have a surprise!" she gushed while rubbing her baby bump.
