TMZ has obtained photos of the Lenox Hill Hospital executive suite where Beyonce, 30, gave birth, and the place is swankier than most upper-crust N.Y.C. apartments. You can check out photos of the suite, which comes with mahogany walls, a number of plush couches, four flat-screen TVs and even a kitchen, in the Today video below.
Shooting down rumors that Beyonce and 42-year-old Jay-Z (whose real name is Shawn Carter) paid north of $1 million to have the suite built specifically for them, a hospital representative has said that the room is available to all VIPs willing to pay the "standard rate" (which we're betting is none too cheap).
And those aren't the only claims the couple has had to contend with since the birth of their daughter. The New York City health department was forced to launch an investigation after Lenox Hill Hospital received two complaints that the musicians' security guards prevented others from visiting the neonatal unit. Health officials reviewed the complaints and dismissed them Wednesday night, a health department spokesman told Today.
In brighter news for the new family, 6-day-old Blue Ivy has already made music history. Billboard is reporting that Blue Ivy is the youngest person to land on their charts ever, thanks to Jay-Z's new song "Glory," which is currently at No. 74 on the R&B/Hip-Hop songs chart. Blue Ivy, who's credited as "B.I.C." on the track, can be heard gently crying as the music fades out. Sounds like another star is in the making!
