WATCH: Beyonce Reads Her Love Letter to First Lady Michelle Obama

The singer gushes over the first lady: "No matter the pressure and the stress of being under the microscope, she's humble, loving, and sincere"

First lady Michelle Obama has been outspoken about her admiration of pop superstar Beyonce, and it's obvious that the feelings are mutual.

After posting an ode to the first lady on her website in April, the new mother has now recorded a video of her reading the love letter and explaining how deeply she respects and looks up to Mrs. Obama.

According to Beyonce, Obama is "the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman."

"She is a caring mother, she's a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the first lady," Beyonce says. "No matter the pressure and the stress of being under the microscope, she's humble, loving, and sincere."

Beyonce, 30, also thanks Michelle for being a role model to her baby daughter Blue Ivy.

"Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that you do for us. I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you to look up to."

The FLOTUS, 48, publicly responded to her famous fan.

"Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to," she wrote on Twitter.

The following month, Obama took her daughters Sasha, 11, and Malia, 14, to a Beyonce concert and said that if she could be anyone else, she'd love to be a singer like the gorgeous entertainer.

"If I had some gift, I’d be Beyonce," she said. "I'd be some great singer."
